Even though a Circuit Training class will usually involve free weights or resistance machines, a good circuit training workout is highly aerobic.
Aerobic Based Circuit Training is designed using a number of different aerobic based exercises, you may find an exercise station for Jumping Jacks, Jogging, Skipping etc.
A typical Aerobic Circuit Workout would consist of 8 stations with the following exercises:
Station 1: Jumping Jacks
Station 2: Shuttle Run
Station 3: Burpees
Station 4: Squats
Station 5: Spotty Dog
Station 6: Step Ups
Station 7: Knee Raises
Station 8: Lunges
Each exercise station would last for 30 seconds with a 10 second rest between each exercise station.

You can work at a steady intensity to maintain a consistent heart rate or aim for an interval effect.
